Paypal says "Sorry, an error occurred after you clicked the last link"

This is a recurring error when dealing with Paypal and it can easily be overcome.

Obviously you shouldn't have to fix problems that Paypal has caused, but they do make small payments convenient and once you have made some adjustments, then you won't have the problem with Paypal again.

The issue appears to be how your browser is configured. I do not recommend that you change your settings which prevent 3rd Party Cookies - but that is the cause of the problem. Instead you can make a single change to allow Paypal to set a cookie. It would seem to need this in order to identify the website that it came from.

In Internet Explorer 7 this is the procedure:

  • Click on Tools/Internet options.
  • Click on the "privacy" tab.
  • Click on the "sites" button.
  • In the "address of website" field add www.paypal.com and click on the "allow" button.
  • Click on OK.

In Firefox 3 this is the procedure:

  • Click on Tools/Options.
  • Click on the "privacy" tab.
  • Ensure that the "accept cookies from sites is checked and Click on the "exceptions" button.
  • In the "address of website" field add www.paypal.com and click on the "allow" button.
  • Click on OK.

If you have some kind of anti-spam arrangment (like "Spam Arrest") where G4WIF has to register somewhere in order to send you an acknowledgement you may be waiting a long time. If you write to any club officer expecting a reply then it is up to you to whitelist their address or check your filter for a reply. Do not expect us to manage your spam problem for you.
